Judgment on Class Opt In Form, Notification and Variation to Class Definition

The judgment on the class opt in, notification about the class and also a variation to the class definition was delivered on 25 November 2022 (you can find a copy of the judgment under the Claim Documents tab or access it here).

The Judge agreed with many of the orders sought for the class opt in form and notification about the class rights (the formal notice document approved by the Court that outlines the class action), but he did not agree with a variation to the class definition (looking to change just one word from “The owner…” to “An owner…” which would allow homeowners who have since sold their house but maintained rights to the EQC claim to be part of the class action).
